What is ForeUI?

ForeUI is a powerful tool to create static or interactive prototype for software/website in your mind. Many organizations and individuals are using ForeUI as their UI/UX/interaction design tool.

With ForeUI you can create wireframe with any fidelity, and you can change its style by simply switching the UI theme. You can also create working prototype by defining some intuitive flow charts to handle specific events in ForeUI. The working prototype can be exported as DHTML files, or run simulation directly in web browser.

Whether you are an Information Architecture, UI Designer, member of an application / web development team, or you just need a streamlined approach for communicating your requirements for an outsourced project, ForeUI is the solution for you.

With ForeUI you can:

  • Present  your ideas visually and communicate to others immediately.
  • Rapidly collect feedback from others early in the design phase.
  • Generate working diagrams for technical documentation before writing a single line of code.
  • Perform usability testing well before the beta version is even ready.

Why Choose ForeUI?

We realize that there are many wireframing/prototpying/mockup tools in the market today. As you will see, what sets ForeUI apart from the competition will have a direct impact on your ability to meet and exceed the challenging objectives of your customers.

The first killer feature of ForeUI is the UI theme switching, which makes it possible to work from a single design. Start with a  sketching mockup that seamlessly moves into a flat wireframes, then, finally take it to the next level by then turning it into a highly functional, interactive prototype.

The animation below showcases the rendering of a design utilizing various UI themes:

UI Themes for Different Fidelities

You can create as many pages as you need in your plot (i.e. project), and organize them with a "sitemap" structure (shown in the figure below). In the pages management window, you can add, duplicate, move, or delete pages using the buttons under the page list, and you can even reorganize them with drag and drop easily. The concept of Master Pages can be used as templates, allowing you to assign one page to another as background for making easy and fast global changes. You can even attach notes to every page providing additional, useful information about that particular page.

Page Management in ForeUI

You can export prototype as image files, which can be used in developing your applications documentation. You can also export prototypes to multipage PDF document, which can be easily shared and reviewed. ForeUI also provides the slideshow feature to showcase your design.

The most interesting feature of ForeUI is the behavior definition. With this you can define flow charts as event handlers for specific elements or pages, allowing you to design very simple or complex interaction of your prototype.

Define Prototype Behavior with Flow Chart

Your completed behavior definition will be converted to JavaScript when ever you export your prototype to DHTML files. You can then run the DHTML simulation in a web browser and interact directly with your completed prototype. You can even integrate the exported DHTML into popular blog or forum frameworks, thus offering you an easy approach to sharing your working prototypes with others to get valuable feedback immediately.
