Current menu bar item is not “highlighted” in simulation mode. Is this a known bug?
Gray highlight appears behind current menu item when working in the plot, but not when I run a simulation (rendered in the Web browser).

This is a designed behavior of menu bar (and menu), they are different than the list, table and tree. Since the simulation is to emulate how the app run, the menu bar and menu will not have a default selected item, until you click on one it.
When export the plot to image or PDF, the gray highlight will be rendered since it is regarded as a static sceen shot.
