I have an application where , when a particular table cell is being clicked, a particular unique action tales place.
This action is different than an action that should be taken when clicking on a different cell.
Is there a way to address particular cells for clicking?

Yes it is possible. You can use element property to identify which cell is currently selected (clicked). Something like this:
