Having an optional drop shadow would allow for more accurate custom widgets, particularly for OS X widgets. For example, right now, I can’t create a true HUD widget used for inspectors and other options because there is no drop shadow to match the other OS X widgets.

Correction: I have successfully created a HUD window widget by using the window panel, a black fill and changing the opacity.

Congrats! Yes the window panel in Mac theme has shadow 😉
