It seems that images with less than 10px width can’t be added to the image dock. Everytime I try, the chosen image doesn’t appear in the image dock.

Just confirmed that is a bug: the minimun size of Image element is 5×5, but in image dock the minimun size is 10×10. We will fix this bug in next version.
Meanwhile there is work around: You can add an Image element and set its image source from the floating tool pane, that will add the image into image dock automatically.
